Once a year we conduct a special workshop for American medical teams introducing them to the Israeli Emergency Medical System and trauma management.
The video presents a chemical warfare scenario utilizing advanced simulators. The trainees are exposed to several scenarios in emergency medicine like phosphorus poisoning, trauma management (blunt and penetrating trauma) and scenarios of communication skills such as delivering bad news and shock to simulated patients. The workshop aims to familiarize the trainee with the equipment, the treatment procedures and communication, and the teamwork skills needed in these extreme situations.
